I was just thinking how I hadn’t seen any posts or heard from Diana in awhile. I was so disheartened to read she had passed. We worked together and we were friends. If there is anything good to say, my first thought was that she was with Mike again. So sorry for her family’s loss.

I would love to share my memory's with Diana (my American Mom) with you.
In 1994 I was an foreign exchange student, went to PV High-school where I got to know the most incredible family who all took my in there hearts and to whom I have in my hart.
I have many memory's, just actually daily stuff.
As how she guided me through that year. How she made it so special for me. How she took in my parents when they came to visit me. How she let me see California. How she made my part of her family and took me to every family member she had.
In 2011 we got reunited en I came to California with my family. I couldn't wait to show her my family. My (now ex-) husband and my three kids. She again took us in and showed us her way of life. My kids are still talking about that time although the youngest was 5 at that time. Mom became a Grandmother to my kids.
In 2014 Mom came to visit us in Tzummarum the Netherlands. She was here for 3 weeks and we have tried to show her al of the Netherlands. Mom and I went to the Keukenhof with al beautiful flowers which she loved. She came over here when al the tulips were in bloom.
She went to Amsterdam en stayed in an hotel for a couple of days to go to the Rijksmuseum and some more museums. She went to Texel (1 of the wadden islands) with my ex-mother in law and her sister. She went with us to a horse sports game.
And this the kids still remember and talk about ; She heated up coffee in the microwave. I know this is something done in America but not over here in the Netherlands.
I have so may memory's and I will still having them when I am old and gray. I am missing her already and will mis her the rest of my life.
My thoughts are with the family. I am wishing them strength through this difficult time.

I was always happy when Diana was coming in to see me. I loved her and was heartbroken to hear of her passing. I am already deeply missing her. She was like a mother to me. I can only imagine how her girls are feeling. I loved hearing her opinions and insights. She certainly had a heart of gold. She was a bad ass at playing scrabble. We played often online and it was a rare occasion that I was able to beat her. I heard all about her family during the times we spent together doing her hair. She loved each and every one of you dearly. She would talk about her grandkids. She would tell me the about the birthday meals she would take them out to in celebration. She kept me up to date on how her daughters were doing. She loved you all soooo much.

I'm not sure where to begin. When I think of all the fun times Diana and I had together, I smile and laugh. Then when I think of her being gone I cry. I miss you so much Diana. My heart hurts. Diana was a true friend, always there if you needed her. She was the one who would drop in at my cabin with 2 bottles of wine, and we would talk until midnight about Everything ! I'm certain that we talked about things that no one has ever talked about before LOL !! We were the kind of friends that could share anything about ourselfs, and we both knew it was safe. It took 19 years to grow our friendship, and I know there isn't enough time left for me to build a friendship like the kind we had. I still talk to her everyday. Sometimes I just say her name, and tell her how much I miss her. When I think about her, these words come to mind, Loveable, Funny, Adventurous, Spontaneous, Smart, Beautiful, Loved people, Loved her family, Loved her dogs, Loved wine , and most of all, I know for certain that she believed in, and loved the Lord. Diana was the real deal. A true friend, even when we had disagreements, we still loved each other. What gives me comfort the most, is remembering what Billy Graham said many years ago. He said " Someday, you will hear that I have died - But don't you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive then , than I am now. I will have just changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God." I believe Diana has just changed her address. She is in the presence of God . I wish I could have seen the look on her face, when she saw our heavenly father. Diana will never be forgotten, she will forever be in my heart. Until we meet again Diana. I love you. To all of Diana's children and grandchildren ,and sister, I have been praying for you all, and asking God to help heal your hearts. If there is anything I can do please contact me.

I cannot think of just a single memory of my mother that is above others. She was a bulldog for us girls, was there for the birth of both of my boys, a second parent to both boys growing up, and a guiding force throughout my entire life. I am not sure when the reality of losing her will set in, but there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her support or wicked sense of humor.

I’m so sorry for the families and friends of your beautiful Diana. She had a huge heart and welcoming smile. She supported me with her wonderful advice during the three years we were neighbors on Abner Lane in her beloved Butte Meadows. I became a much stronger women, sister and mother because of her love. She checked in on me when she would see my car pull up with a wave. Her connection with me was my welcome to come and pour my heart out and lean on her comforting shoulders. Love and peace to you Diana and may God bless your beautiful blended family in your physical absence. Gina Ceragioli
