Obituary of Marshall Lee Van Ert

MARSHALL LEE VAN ERT Marshall Van Ert, AKA Grandpa Duck, AKA Marsh Dog was born to Claudia and Martin Van Ert in beautiful Southern California on August, 23, 1950.

Marshall graduated from Chico State with excellent grades. He received a full ride scholarship to University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he earned his Master's Degree. Marshall was an avid Duck Hunter, Fisher of Men, and Lover of Jesus. He was an Honest Salesman, working in Auto and RV sales for upwards of 40 years. He never sold a motorhome without giving The Gospel first. Marshall Loved the Holidays and gathering with His Family.

Marshall passed after a rapid decline in his health on March 25, 2022 at the age of 71. He is survived by his Son, Daughter, and Grandson, as well as His Sister and two Brothers. Grandpa Ducks Celebration of His Life BBQ will be held at His Home at 16 Westminster Court, Chico, from Noon till 3pm , Saturday, April 30. All are encouraged to come for a time of food and sharing (bring a story). The Duck will be missed.
