Obituary of William Schnoering

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, for William E. Schnoering, 74 of Chico. Bill passed away on January 29, 2011 . He was born on July 19, 1936. Bill served his country for over 20 years. He was a loving husband to his wife, Valentine Schnoering, who preceded him in death. He was a 32nd degree Mason, V.F.W. Post 1555, D.A.V., Shriners, and was instrumental in bringing the City of Chico the Memorial Tribute to all Veterans in the City Plaza. He entered into the family of God on March 15, 2009. Bill was an avid reader and artist, and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his daughters, Regina and Natalie, and his grandchildren and his loving dog, "Sheba". Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Shriners Childrens Hospital in care of the funeral home. There will be a time to spend with the family on Thursday evening, Feb. 3, 2011 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Brusie Funeral Home. Bill will be laid to rest at Glen Oaks Memorial Park with military honors.
