Keith "Frosty" Ferrin

Obituary of Keith "Frosty" Lee Ferrin

Keith Lee Ferrin better known as “FROSTY” was born on September 25, 1943 in Chico California. He went to “Rock ‘n’ roll” Heaven on September 2, 2022. Keith “FROSTY” graduated from Chico High school in 1962. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. “Frosty”, as he insisted on being called, loved music and played the drums for most of his life. “Rock ‘n’ roll” was his motto. Friends and neighbors that he grew up with can still remember him on E. 1st Avenue with the garage door open playing the drums with his other bandmates. He was a walking encyclopedia for most rock ‘n’ roll trivia and was so excited when he learned about YouTube and he could watch any of his favorite bands playing concerts and songs at any time.

“FROSTY” is survived by his brother Don Ferrin and his sisters Yvonne Hawkins and Gail Clark. He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Ferrin who passed away last September. “FROSTY” had a wonderful group of friends in his mobile home community and was treated like royalty at Willows Post Acute where he passed away.  “FROSTY” had many other band mates and friends that he enjoyed playing music with. “FROSTY” is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

His funeral will be held on Friday, September 16th at 10:30 AM at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico, CA. There will be a short graveside service at 12 noon at the Chico Cemetery, 881 Mangrove Avenue in Chico, CA
